Mixing music and storytelling, alternative rock band Laugh Queens takes on Young Jean Lee’s life-affirming concert play, WE’RE GONNA DIE, in its LA premiere. Laugh Queens combine their off-kilter grunge-pop with Lee’s captivating storytelling to celebrate the loneliness that is a natural part of life. Laugh, cry, and dance it out at The Bootleg on February 20, 2020 for a one-night only show that exposes what it really means to be human.

Laugh Queens is the alternative rock project of SF-based songwriter Stephanie D’Arcy. Since moving to LA in 2016, D’Arcy has performed many shows with her band in which she plays lead guitar and sings. She recently released her debut album, “Bathcolors”, a sonic collection of thoughtfully crafted confessions. In each track, she reveals her ever-changing sense of self while creating an unexpected relationship between snarky rock n’ roll fever and intimate balladry. Influenced by artists like Bjork, Radiohead and The Kills, Laugh Queens breeds multi-layered melodies fused with a bluesy flair.
